Mississippi Review on Lit Mags
Posted on November 30th, 2008 at 5:55 pmThe fall 2008 Mississippi Review issue on the contemporary literary magazine is now available on magazine stands and from the Mississippi Review website. Denise Hill salutes the issue on the New Pages blog. Laura van den Berg toasts the issue at Ploughshares. The issue was guest edited by Luna Park editor Travis Kurowski and contributor Gary Percesepe (whose articles from Luna Park 1 on Antioch Review are available here and here). From the introduction:
…What we have here is a snapshot of the current moment in literary magazine history—a history of the present, in theory and practice. As you can see in the following pages, the literary magazine is alive and well; her writers and editors continue to explore and adapt to a changing world and the exciting, shape-shifting world of literature.
